What exactly is the deal on her contract with Def Jam? she signed for 3 albums, they were Charmbracelet,Mimi,E=mc2, and now Memoirs, when did she renew? if she didnt she should just take the mix album and put it out herself, it would probably generate more $$ for her easily.

Oh, I loooove Glitter. That duet she did with Eric Bonet! Thats like a hidden gem. Then the Jam and Lewis song- sounds like Mimi covering a Janet song, lol but i love it. The Loverboy remix is pure fiyah. Its too bad people let the media tell them what is good and what isn't. Music Box over Glitter? Pssshhh.

E=MC2 was such a step up frpom Emacipation. I love Emancipation, but For The Record, I'll Be Lovin U A Long Time, & Side Effects. love

Def Jam fucked up sooo bad with the singles. The album had so many great tracks on it. Why release Bye Bye and ISIL of all songs? Over Migrate? WHY?!

Memoirs is great, it really is a grower. i didn't like it at first, but Up Out My Face- how hot is the reprise? Angels Cry, and Standin O are amazing. Why release IWKWLI? In 2009- didn't Mimi get the memo? They don't play ballads anymore! Who is choosing these singles? confused

Anyway, I don't agree with this remix project (the album is fine as it is) but y'all know I'll be picking it up! Mimi has been SOLID these past 10 years. nod

I honsetly don't get the point of this remix project- the album is fine. If it flopped, then it flopped. Sales are down anyway- nobody makes money from sales these days. She had her years on top, it was only a matter of time. She can just keep releasing albums to make her fans happy. Why remix? Its so redundant. confused

I totally agree with you. I know I'm supposed to hate Mariah because I'm a Madonna fan but I enjoy her music. The songs on Memoirs are good, but as you said they don't have immediate hooks and for a little too much down and mid tempo stuff.
I've never been into endless remixes of the same song even by Madonna. So boring. I always prefer the album versions.
