Unsung Season 4: Who U Got? TV One seems to have a theme with their Unsung series. Four episodes per season (or miny season) and two episodes each of a male and female artist besides the second season 3 to one in favor of the women.
My four choices would be: -The Sylvers -Joe Tex -En Vogue -Syretta PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

They should, their story is a classic "Unsung". Group comes together, group blows up, group deals with drama, group members infighting, members leave often, original members finally come back together lol That was the way the Clark Sisters' story was though they (Twinkie, Karen, Dorinda and Jackie) always seem to get along even though Twinkie said "sometimes we can't stand each other" [Edited 11/8/09 18:20pm]

I think they should do:
Heatwave Tammi Terrell The Marvellettes Slyvester Five Star The Pointer Sisters Angela Bofill Gil Scott Heron Mary Wells Ohio Players Switch The Sylvers "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

The Marvelettes would definitely be a good story.

The Funk Brothers would be a pretty good Unsung episode. I agree on Heatwave, Guy also would be good (or maybe just Teddy Riley.) PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

Lots of drama with the Pointer Sisters:
From wikipedia: "In November 2000, the sisters lost their beloved mother Sarah; in 2003, sister Anita lost her only child Jada to cancer. Jada was the subject of The Pointer Sisters 1973 song "Jada". On April 11, 2006, June Pointer died of lung cancer at UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California. According to an official family statement she was surrounded by her sisters Ruth and Anita as well as brothers Aaron Pointer and Fritz. On May 4, 2006, sister Bonnie appeared on Entertainment Tonight saying the other sisters had not fulfilled the burial wishes for June, instead having her cremated because it was cheaper. Bonnie also stated the sisters had not let her ride in the family car at the funeral. Anita and Ruth responded that Bonnie had demanded to be let back in the group and was upset that she had not been allowed to, and that June had left no instructions for her burial. The sisters seemed estranged from Bonnie until she joined Anita Pointer on the Idol Radio Show in 2007." "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

No way Ron Isley or the Pointer Sisters are going to have an Unsung segment. These segments are mainly about singing stars who never received long-term mass acceptance outside of black audiences. The Isleys and The Pointer Sisters certainly don't fall into that category. Bobby Womack, Millie Jackson, Angie Bofill, Maze and Gwen Guthrie would make great stories. Jermaine is known now only as Mike and Jermaine's older brother. Bootsy is just known and a bass player who wears weird clothes. Most people didn't even know Boots started out with JB. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Lots of folks don't know Jermaine Jackson is a talented mothafucka. They only think he's MJ and Janet's brother.
