Angel...is this a Simply Red original or a cover from someone else? I like the original Simply Red version over this version though.

btw, wasnt Simply Red's first remake of ANGEL from a movie..I remember listening to it from a soundtrack album for some reason..

okay, i know aretha's song but for some off reason I never connected the two.

in my defense, there are soo many darn Angel songs out there...

not sure about the origins of Red's version.

Simply Red, always one of my favourites. no need to hear or preview the album; i just buy it upon release. evewn the albums that aren't that great are still better than most. as far as "Angel" goes, it's a great track. the collaboration with Wyclef works really well. it's sexy and laidback. Mick's vocals are rich and soulful. and one of my favourite Simply Red videos.
