Great! I remember this like it was yesterday, it was FREEZING!! Just to fill you in, Jesse Rae had a HUGE cult following in Scotland, he came to my ballet school and auditioned for dancers, we had an amazing time with him and Bernie. We performed some gigs with them too, The Art College Ball in Edinburgh, where the place went crazy and we realised that Jesse was actually quite famous! And various other venues. I remember dancing alongside Bernie while he did his 'thing' on the keyboards, he was great fun to be around! I didn't know he was famous either at the time.. lol... Bernie at 3mins Sorry for hijacking your thread, but hope you enjoy! [Edited 11/26/09 8:53am]

Jesse with Roger Troutman!!!
Btw, Jesse was NEVER seen in public without his helmet, so none of his fans knew what he looked like, he would only take it off when out of sight of his 'public' [Edited 11/26/09 8:58am]

[Edited 11/26/09 8:21am] Haha....I had to run up that hill about 100x's - you have NO idea how cold and muddy it was! January in the middle of nowhere in Scotland is no joke! They had these big hot 'blower' things, which didn't help much... but the food was delicious! 'Famous' [Edited 11/26/09 15:51pm]

Funkpill is one of the coolest cats on here so I KNEW he wouldn't trip. You're looking sweet, baby girl. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Then my girl Jennifer can not only post her video working with Bernie but THEN link it to Roger! Brilliant! SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Here's some more info.....
http://funderglass.blogsp...istle.html The opening track is Rae's own recording of his hit for Odyssey, "Inside Out". What the article doesn't mention is the funk pedigree of The Thistle: it was produced by Zapp leader Roger Troutman, who also plays on most of the songs, and his brother Lester plays drums or percussion on about half of the tracks. As if that weren't enough, Funkateer Bernie Worrell plays on five tracks, and P-Funk guitarist Michael Hampton puts in a couple of appearances as well. That said, the album is definitely a product of the 80s, and while it's among the best of 80s pop-funk, it's not exactly timeless. But it's got plenty of good licks, and the thickest Scottish brogue you will ever hear on a funk record. Get the vinyl rip here or here, and check out the videos below. Oh, and about the outfit: Rae "rarely appears in public without his steel helmet and full Scottish garb." So... Jesse also wrote the hit single for Odyssey 'Inside Out' I LOVE this song....
