Some? Janet has been acting since she was 7 years old. And she chose to be in this film. She also has turned down many roles. She actually was supposed to play Halle Berry's part in X-Men. But she's always playing it safe when she chooses what movies she wants to star kind of like her music as of late.

Bryan Singer wanted her to play Storm and offered her the role around the time she was touring for the janet. tour. So she knew about it before '97-'98. I think you're confusing her mentioning the 3 unknown scripts she recieved before the TVR tour.
