Underrated 80's Jam

One of my favorite artist of all time is Shanice. Her Slow Jam "The Way You Love Me" still blows me away today. I STILL can't believe this girl was 13 years old when she recorded this album and released when she was 14. The end of this song is killer.

I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Agreed. The album was a reveleation (that voice that lil gurl had.....still BOOMS through the headphones on this whole record).

It's Bryan Loren's best production work. "I Think I Love You" RIPS even now...some 22 years after it's release.

I also WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend the 12's off this record...some of the best of the 80's, I feel. "No Half Steppin" & "Can You Dance" are some of the best synth-funk of that period.

I ripped nearly the entire album to MP3 last year...left my decks smokin.
