Music Tonight on Television Just a few notes about music on TV tonight.
CNN is having their annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, in which Maxwell performs, among others. 9 p.m. EST/8 Central TV|ONE is showing the MJ 30th Anniversary Celebration concert 7 p.m. EST then at 9 p.m. EST it's TV One Night Only: Live from the Essence Music Festival with performances by Beyonce, Charlie Wilson, Anita Baker, John Legend, EnVogue and more. (IIRC, this wasn't too great of a show....if this is the same show I'm thinking of). At 11 p.m. TV|ONE will have Maxwell - Five Days of Night, which is basically the DVD included in the deluxe edition of BLACKsummer'snight, which covers the recording process for the record 11:30 p.m. Maxwell: A Video Journey ABC 9 p.m. Beyonce - I Am Yours 10 p.m. Paul McCartney CENTRIC is showing a mini marathon of the TV series FAME, which I LOVE. It's on right now through the evening. VH1 Classics is doing a lot of stuff on The Doors throughout the afternoon and evening. [Edited 11/26/09 12:33pm] | |

Little Michael DeLorenzo even had a few speaking parts. The last one of the evening (next hour) is where Doris hits her head and dreams of her classmates in The Wizard of Oz. I watched the Essence Festival and wasn't impressed. It actually kinda sucked. I hate when artist speed thru their songs. Also, didn't like 30th Anniversy Tribute to MJ  Sorry y'all just keeping it real![Edited 11/27/09 1:15am] | |
