Tinchy Stryder Featuring N-Dubz "number 1" Wow, UK is totally jacking the US rnb scene, but hey, this song is OK, along with JLS's "Beat again", which is Neyo jackin' but better then most of his stuff LOL. Neither tracks are great, but Its OK for the clubs and I've heard much worse.... [Edited 11/24/09 18:51pm]

Until recently, I felt that the UK R&B and dance scene was better than over here, but it's getting neck and neck now "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Yeah, as I said, despite myself knowing very little about todays rnb, I can see some UK acts starting to clone the USA acts, but I dont mind the above 2 songs I posted. "Beat again" has a catchy hook I guess, and this is from someone who really cant stomach alot of todays rnb.

But the UK still has us beat on radio programming. 1xtra is more diverse in one day than the average r&b/hip hop station has been in the past 15 years It plays R&B, Hip Hop, Garage, Drum and Bass, House, Grime, Reggae.....that's why I love it "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Its on usually some rubbish like "KISS". Heck I'd rather have "planetrock", but as its a group of us working in the same place with one radio, arguments do happen LOL.

I should show you the recent playlist of one the local stations 1. Letoya - Regret 2. Trey Songz - Invented Sex 3. 50 Cent - Baby By Me 4. Chris Brown - I Can Transform Ya 5. Trey Songz - Say Aah 6. Erk Tha Jerk - Love You Right Here 7. Snoop Dogg - Gangsta Luv Feat The Dream 8. Alicia Keys - Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart 9. Usher - Papers 10. R. Kelly - Number One 11. Jay-z Feat. Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind 12. Drake - Forever Feat. Kanye, Eminem, Lil Wayne 13. Mario - Break Up 14. Pleasure P - Under 15. Fabolous - Throw It In The Bag 16. Keri Hilson / Lil Wayne - Turnin Me On 17. Maxwell - Bad Habits 18. Mariah Carey - Obsessed 19. Beyonce - Ego If you look at 20 other stations, it's the same playlist "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. That song was awful. That reached over here bigtime aswell. I hate all these collabs. So cheap and the "guest" rarely adds anything. Its pure marketing bullocks. I think Cheryl Cole's poppy "fight for this love", despite it sounding American, is still too poppy for US radio. Same with Alexandra Burke's halfway catchy "bad boy", which, in more marketing bull, features everyone's favourite musician- Flo rider! Havn't heard the Usher song yet. Or have I? It all sounds the same to me.
