a couple of her songs are ok but rihanna is so one-dimensional, i don't get her appeal

I was the opposite. When it leaked I wasn't really feeling it. But I downloaded it anyway and I'm glad that I did. It's a good album. I still don't believe that it's as good as GGGB, but Rated R has grown on me. Rockstar 101 is my jam. I can't stop listening to it.

The album is amazing to me

Eh, it's meh.

It's a good pop album. It has a concept and the mood throughout is consistent, but it's no deeper than any other pop album.

I feel like people were expecting something amazing b/c of the past year, but she's a pop star and she has to keep it palatable, mass marketable.

So I guess it succeeds on one level, but if you're a serious serious music fan it's easy to look through and identify. Idk. Just mo.

Maybe that's snobby as hell, but that's the impression I get.

That's a shame.

There's a whole army of managers, agents, stylists, writers, etc... who will be extremely disappointed.

Apparently Rhianna doesn't actually exist. She's just a trick of the light that a few marketers discovered over a late lunch.
