Do you guys think Alicia Keys new CD Element of Freedom will be good

Do you think it will be a good and live up to the hype it has been getting for the past couple of months are do you think otherwise

Keys began to "find the way to totally be myself and what that meant; figuring out what choices I wanted to make and not make in order to truly honor myself". She described The Element of Freedom as diverse, but noted that there is a "balance". She explained that "one side is strong and one side is vulnerable", which she pointed to as the theme of the album. The album has a "strong, edgy feel", but is also "intimate and vulnerable and delicate". While on BET's 106 & Park, she described the album: "The way that the songs progress [on the album] are gonna take you on a natural high. I just want you to feel a sense of freedom, I want you to feel out-of-the-box, feel inspired, You're definitely going to be taken on a trip, I know you're going to be shocked, you're going to hear things that you probably didn't think that I would sound like. It's a journey."

In an interview with Billboard magazine, Keys stated that she "eliminated all of the boundaries and all the limitations, so that you can feel your freedom and express your freedom in every way you possibly can

***Which Alicia Keys album did you like the best

Songs in A Minor (2001)

The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003)

Unplugged (2005)

As I Am (2007)

I agree with you 100%! The answer is no and yes her first 2 albums were her best. This chick imo is stuck in a musical rut. She keeps making different versions of the same song. I really want her to "step outside of the box" like she keeps saying she is. As for the comment about it being edgy and will shock people, I highly doubt it.

I will definitely check it out when it's released, but I only liked her first 2 albums.

I hated the first record, totally just hated it, second was a major improvement, and the last one i like alot. i Dont mind the territory she is in right now, the first single from this album was good but that second was something that sounded like a Rihanna throw away, and the scary thing is that the forum seems to dig that second single, scary.

I hope so. The bonus tracks on the import re-release were kinda different for her. I was hoping this new album would move in that direction. I love TSWABH, on the verses especially, but the chorus is a little pop for me.
