Replace the word black with I don't like Adam and this is what you are trying to say on this thread. [Edited 11/23/09 14:42pm] I don't dislike him it all. In fact, I find him and his performance quite comical. When I was watching his performance, I wasn't going "Ew, he's gay"! I was laughing because it's like he's rebelling against absolutely nothing!!! Explain to me why he felt the need to grab his crotch and flip off the crowd. The both of those things had nothing to do with his performance or his sexuality. I don't mean that you dislike him for being gay. Not at all. I was just poking fun at you so emphatically going after his performance and the whole we get it you're gay. I don't think there was ANY need for either of those things. He's a young dude who probably thinks he's making a big stand by being IN YOUR FACE about his sexuality. I'm not saying it's artistic or that the performance was of quality even. I'm just saying: "Good for him!" There's plenty of in your face crap about hetero sexuality. No one ever says "We get it, you're STRAIGHT." if a pop princess gets sandwiched between two dudes or gets felt up on stage or whatever.

The AMA's are based on record sales. Nowhere does it state, the records have to be new! Then the Beatles should have been nominated also because added up all their reissues put them right with him as the biggest selling artist this year. But we all know why MJ got the nods, come on now. Man, I missed the AMAs...but luckily for me there's this great thing called 'Youtube' that lets me watch without giving the show ratings. In a nutshell, loved Janet and Kelly Clarkson the most. Was very impressed by Lady Gaga who I thought was fantastic. Nothing else really worth mentioning for me....but I do love how this guy summed it up in less than 7 minutes.

I've gotta see his performance for myself. Too bad youtube keeps taking it down though, ugh. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ

Daughtry Mary J. Blige: song was decent, she looked classy and elegant for once. thankfully it wasn't another song about her "drama". or maybe it was. lol Black Eyed Peas: what i expected. Jay Z & Alicia Keyes: don't care for the song at all, but they were ok. Jennifer Lopez: i liked the song more during the performance. she fell...and??? name an artist who hasn't. and the recovery was quick. but i liked the performace, staging, and concept. dancing was good but i think could've been a bit better. Keith Urban: pretty styraight forward. but he was good. Alicia Keyes (solo): WTF!! motorcycle, fly into the air, start out in front of a brick wall with half assed crotch grinding girls then serenade a gay burglar, then do a cirque du soliel piano in the air finish. umm ok. disappointed. Carrie Underwood: good performance. Lady Gaga: love her. she always delivers. Shakira: pretty much did the video live. Rihanna: performance was blah....i'll just get the album. i like her but i don't think she's the best live. girl is beautiful though. Eminem and dem rappers... NEXT!! Adam Lambert: never heard him and after that crap, i'm glad i hadn't. desperate for attention and horrific singing...if we're calling it that. was not the slightest bit entertaining. trash. Whitney Houston: seemed like she was struggling. and why was she doing her own echoes? as far as who won... [Edited 11/23/09 20:07pm] LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

Regarding that Adam Lambert performance and all the complaints it received, just turn the channel people! It's much a do about nothing, as usual.
I'm not necessarily a fan of his, and to me his performance was a cliché, nearly a caricature. It was a yawn-fest... but then again, I think I've just outgrown a lot of that style. I'm not really into Janet or Madonna either anymore even though I respect their accomplishments. Most of pop music is boring to me. But for Adam Lambert to receive all the complaints? Turn-off the TV if you don't like it, for cryin' outloud. Why do these people want to control everybody else? This is what I don't understand.
