Adam Lambert and the Case of the Missing Drummer?

Before anyone gets the wrong impression, the subject line is a huge dose of hyperbole done totally tongue-in-cheek. The truth of the matter is that i've played with LP on and off for the past 10 years as part of Tribal Disorder. He is the group's original drummer and actually came up with the name for the band. LP will be in Adam Lambert's band on this year's American Music Awards show and i'm very happy for him.

I'm sure Adam knows how fortunate he is to have a drummer as talented and versatile as LP is...

...Notice that there's no phony hardware trickery (bass drum pedals, etc)

LP's first high profile gig was with...

...the platinum selling band Yellowcard

When we were in Florida prepping to record some...

...Tribal Disorder material.

Here's LP...

...in a clip from the AMA rehearsal.

Good luck tonight "bad-ass". cool

somebody please fill me in on the disaster that was Lambert's performance. I stopped watching the show after Janet but have read a couple blogs were everyone is wreaking his skit...did he really fall halfway through?

Why would the AMA's give a non-tested act like his the closing slot? Oh, and to keep it on topic...how was the drummer? :lol;

And in Adam’s defense, he took what appeared to be a rather nasty and unplanned tumble midway through his set that could’ve potentially thrown him off his game.

i tried to read the thread but got bored of it quick. sowwy.

LP was fine. He played what he was paid to play which was all the song called for.
The reason I included his performance clips in my original post was to let folks know what he's actually capable of skill wise.

I thought Adam played off the "trip" like a pro.
The "side-roll" he went into made it almost look like it was part of the routine.

Wow, I just watched his performance and didn't notice the fall but then again, I was cringing most of the way through. Upon replay he did pull it off very well. There's something to be said for being agile. Performers fall all the time. It's how they recover that makes the difference.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

LP continues to prove his versatility/flexibility as an artist.

I wish him the very best of luck in what ever artistic path he chooses to take.

Ars Gratia Artis

cool

P.S. I think this thread was to throw a shout out to LP, not about Adam Lambert falling, nor about any controversy surrounding said performance..... confuse
