Byrd has this to say about the debut cd:

"I played all the instruments with the exception of the song # 03 (trk 6) in which Danny Bedrossian plays organ & piano. He also sang on Funkin Where You Belong. "

And this about the live showcase:
"I'm using a Digital recorder called the Roland VS-880, It plays the Guitars, Basses & Keys, And I have a drummer...named Lomax. For now that's it ."

In his thoroughly biased opinion
"It ROCKS HARD !!!!!"

Blackbyrd played a set at The Mint in LA on Sat Nov. 28. He played all guitar parts and was joined by a live drummer named Lomax and a digital recorder on which he had previously recorded the complete bass and keyboard parts. ABSOULTELY NO LOOPS OR SAMPLES.

The program consisted of all-new tunes from his new CD 'Bout Funkin' Time, plus a old standard from the PFAS days, "Fly On" and a set closer tease of "Jingle Bells".
