Soul Train 11/20

Another boring, old ass ep. It's Stevie Wonder, The Moments and a group I have never heard of. Jesus, what is it gonna take for them to BRING ON THE 80s?

I'm watching right now. Pretty good so far. Why am I not surprised they are showing Stevie Wonder this week? Another legend....apparently they don't know that other artists existed besides just legends. Hell, I guess they'll show Diana Ross next week. Let me hush before I give them ideas. lol

Oh Lord, they just got through showing the dance contest featuring James Brown's "I've Got A Bag Of My Own". I glanced up at the TV and the first thing I saw was one of the guys had a rip in his pants and his white briefs were showing. When I get through recording the show, I'm gonna have to go back to that part, hit the pause button, and zoom in. lol

I like music education just fine, but I am more a lover of music from 76 on, although I love the Ohio Players, Dinah Washington and Chaka among others

Good show. Script try to take a look at some of the earlier stuff girl.... biggrin

As always I loved the dancing.....

The Moments don't come to mind as amoung one of the best male trio/quartets/quintets of the late 60's, 70's, early 80's but this guys music were a constent on black radio and on the charts.

Later on The Moments were known by their surnames - Ray, Goodmen & Brown.

I hope your joking. It is great to see these clips of these great and in some cases forgotten artist. I am certain they are showing the clips in order so sooner or later we are going to get to the 80's. In the meantime I think some of you need to move on over to VH1 Classics to get your 80's fix or maybe take out the time to appreciate black music.

First there is no such thing as the race card. We all got together and decided that in a secret vote years ago.LOL

In addition, we are talking about old Soul Train episodes which are going to have a majority of RnB groups from the 60 and 70s.

Live in a fantasy world if you want but around the early 70's radio started to segregate music by color not style and Soul Train was a variety show marketed to the black community at that time.
