that's the problem, i think. it's just ok. IMO. she should stick with "Fresh Out The Oven" as the lead single. i just don't feel this song has single material written on it. her "Brave" album had some good 'singles' potential. but her pregnancy at the time, lack of promotion, and lackluster videos didn't help. Well she associated with Fabolous and he had just shot someone or been involved with a shooting of someone and got off, so, it was like Deja Vu with her again on that. I meant the album. She had some okay tunes on that album. They could have pushed for another single or two. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

well they need to stop that shit! wasn't Mariah Careyclaiming the same thing about "Obsessed" ? just release a song and stand behind it; then on to the next. oh well. i'll be watching. hopefully she tear it up with a great dance performance. Obsessed was always the first single. I think if it had flopped they would have labeled it a "buzz" track or whatever.

It was a mistake single out the box at the time, she had a few "different" kind of tracks on that album (one or two with instruments), but she put this out without Fab and then all of a sudden the Remix was pushed out and thrown on the album and i think everyone at that point was tired of this whole "oh here we go with the collabos again" "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I mean she was the definition of overexposed in the US at that point, and I think it hurt Get Right somewhat in that territory, but it was still a substantial global hit. But Hold You Down just soured everyone on the project. And suddenly everyone was doing the things J.Lo was doing, but doing them better. The fact that she hadn't mounted a tour or really developed as a performer also hurt her chances. And she became a footnote in music history almost overnight.

The thing is that she is not and never was a full time artist, she, all though i love her to death, is ONE of the reasons for this whole overkill with artists now. We get like 2-3 artists and they are jammed down our throats like it or not, and they can never just do music, because as we all know, no one sells enough to come close to paying for this bullshit video budgets and contracts that they have. So U get Beyonce doing an album, a movie, a magazine, a tour, another album etc.. You will get Rihanna in more films soon, you already have Alicia Keys in Movies, Mariah is doing them now, Justin is doing them, Miley is doing them etc... No one really has the time to just do one thing so no one can grow, and even if they do, you get so sick of the person, who the fuck cares if they grow. I mean Beyonce or Rihanna could put out the greatest album ever, and you wont care because your sick of them. She should rather focus on her acting career. I really liked U-Turn and that movie with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman. As an actress she is much more convincing than as a singer.
