"time to get it together" Is my favourite Marin Gaye track of all time. Words do not begin to express how much that song means to me. The key change during the song is one of the funkiest things I have ever heard.

I have never heard this alternate version before. Their are some very interesting parts to it.. the original will always hold the number place 1 in my heart. The production on the alternative version is extremely fresh and raw.. sounds awesome.

Marvin's music moves me in a way that no other music is able to.

I don't know about the actual dates he recorded the song but I'm guessing this unedited recording of "Time" was recorded around '77, Marvin decided not to bring all of that on the track and decided to edit it in a way he felt would not be draining so he ended the song's original album track on the chants. Marvin definitely polished the song up. I love the song's raw approach.
