The David Sancious Set

Prog-Rock/Jazz-Fusion.

...Suite Cassandra (from his debut solo album, Forest of Feelings - 1975)

...Piktor's Metamorphosis (from his 1976 release, Transformation (The Speed Of Love))

...Fade Away & Sound Of Love (from his 1978 release, True Stories)

...Valley Of The Shadow (from his 1979 release, Just As I Thought)

For more background, here's a post I did on this fine keyboardist/guitarist some time ago:
http://prince.org/msg/8/221358?pr

Most recently, he did some of the dates on Jeff Beck's last world tour.

cool Awesome set! That True Stories album with Tone is my favorite Sancious album!

Dave is a dangerous man-- on guitar as well as keyboard!!!

I also love his wizardry on Narada Michael Walden's piece, The Sun Is Dancing - It's really a showcase for Sancious's chops and ideas!!

Actually, David reminds me of another keyboard whiz, "Bayete" Todd Cochran, who played with everyone from Bobby Hutcherson to Stanley Clarke in the 70's - including fronting the progressive Rock group, Automatic Man with Mike Shrieve. Going as Todd Cochran now-- he's doing mostly Straight-Ahead jazz these days...

I was a wee bit disappointed that he didn't make the U.S. leg of this last Jeff Beck tour. I really wanted to see/hear him play.

Aaah yes, Mr. Bayeté, another background wizard.
