I'm not understanding why they can't do something else other than play Aerosmith songs. They're songwriters and musicians right? Why can't they write other songs and perform those with a different band.
Aerosmith has made millions and millions of dollars. Unless they are very foolish, I don't see that they would need the money and they have to tour as Aerosmith to make a living.
They sound so pathetic saying they can't do anything else. Are they that stupid and untalented that they can't reinvent themselves and do something else, even if it doesn't make money? I don't see why the choice is either do Aerosmith or sit around doing nothing.

I know Aerosmith went though a breakup and came back sober and reignited but lighting may not strike twice.

They are too old now so they need to stay together and play for their adoring fans.

As long as they keep their show sounding good they will be OK. In this recession they are blessed to be able to play a back catalog of songs people love and not play sheds and barns.

And even though it's hard to make money with albums I say do them and do good ones just for the sake of integrity.
