as a kid i loved this song but damn is it one korny stereotype after another...and what's up with the versus skipping from one subject to another? it's a narrative nightmare but with that being said, emotions trump technique and Riley conveyed emotions in spades.

maybe peeps kept confusing her with Shirley & Pepsi and the confusion caused her sales. lol just kidding.
