Lets do a top ten.....let's at least throw some idea around. Let's please NOT DO Thriller as #1 or Smooth Criminal, lets give other videos a chance!!!.

What ideas you got? And be easy on the bandwith and multiple videos all at once on one post. My computer at home can't handle all that neutral

Let's go!

Im going to say..

Paranoid - Kanye West
Rihanna looked SO GREAT and she played the Twigight Zone paranoid role very well with no dialogue.

Well, "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller" are definitely the best videos of all time in my not so humble opinion. I also love the "Time After Time" video, but it's ruined slightly by the terrible acting in the final scene at the train station. I'm not too keen on the start of it either where she's watching the old movie before the song starts. Other than that though it's great. There's just something about it.

But the OP asked for something different (a request which has largely been ignored as people trot out all the usual org favourites). So I submit.....

did i miss it, or did no one put "Closer" by NIN on their "best of lists"

I'd also add: "Drop" by The Pharcyde
"Love Will Never Do" by Janet (groundbreaking for her)
"By The Time I Get to Arizona" - Public Enemy

wow, didn't realize i had so FEW "favorite" videos

Love that one, but for some arbitrary reason, I limited my list to one video per artist and chose the gothier looking "The Perfect Drug".

I have to go with MJ's 'Who is it' and 'In the closet'. But most of the picks in here are good ones.

When I read this thread title I felt high quality music videos are a thing of the past and this thread is walk down memory lane. Anybody else feels this way (kind of feeling old neutral )

Expensive videos definitely are a thing of the past, Lady Gaga notwithstanding.

The look of this video inspired MJ's "you rock my world" video.
