Mary Jane Girls Donna Allen wouldn't cut it. She is beyond obscure. I can only think of two decent songs by her Satisfied and Serious. seriously though, i'd rather have people learn about artist then have the same ole same ole's get added attention. Oh oh oh oh oh...I got a good one. Sylvester. Not that it would ever happen. Space for sale...

I would def be glued into the TV set for that one I don't know if Grace Jones could be Unsung,,,but that woman is in desparate need for a biography special.

I have already said Sylvester should be profiled. Why wouldn't he be?
Miki Howard and Angela winbush-what issues have they had-see to me, the miki howards, vestas, regina belles etc.-they all blur into one for me. Nothing distinctive about them at all. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Angela Winbush has quite a history,,,she was a Wonderlove, big time R&B producer of the 80s and the drama she went with Rene Moore & Ron Isley that qualify for the special I guess not to mention, her fight with breast cancer.
Plus she has a couple of hits under her arm too(per4med by her, or covered by other artists). I've sat my heart for a Ms.Winbush special and I hope it gets made. [Edited 11/10/09 14:12pm]

Cause that evil woman runs TVOne and black folk don't seem to like to talk about our people being gay cause then people might start to realize our church singers and Tylor Perry are about as queer as a dollar bill. Space for sale...

UGH! I'll be SO glad if Cathy Hughes retired from interviewing The woman is annoying beyond belief. And is it me, or is the only feedback you'll get from her is "Uh uh, oooooh okay, yes, uh uh ooooh okay, yes, uh uh,,,,to infinity" I enjoyed the Dick Gregory special, but the whole time I was watching it, I was praying for a toothache to shut her the fuck up. Make no mistake though, I respect her as a business woman.

They talked about Bobby Debarge dying of Aids. I think Sylvester would be a good candidate
What's a Wonderlove? Sounds like a bra "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

What's a Wonderlove? Sounds like a bra Didn't he die of aids caused by drug addiction...either way, talking about dying of aids is totally different then celebrating an out and proud queer legend...i would hope black media folks would be tolerant enough to honor Sylvester but I just don't see it...yet. My four choices would be: -The Sylvers -Joe Tex -En Vogue -Syretta Blue Magic Leroy Hutson Stylistics Delfonics We gonna come on with the come on, gonna get down with the get down!

Don't break my heart. Hey, she's had less success then Shalamar and has had to deal with mental and emotional issues...I think she would qualify. Bettye Levette is the epitome of unsung. Space for sale...

And if they aren't going to so Sylvester, they damn sure won't do Tevin I think they shouldn't cover anyone from the 90s. Too recent "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Alyson Williams would have a better shot and she don't have a shot in hell either. Don't laugh at my funk
