Yeah, it really was horrific. A large area on top of his head engulfed in flame, the scary thing was he did not notice for a while and continued.

I wonder why all the wigs (mesh on his hairline/forehead) for so long? I remember noticing them all the way back to the dangerous era.

I don't remember seeing mesh and stuff until post-HIStory tour. During Dangerous era and into the HIStory era he still had a natural hairline. I don't know if he was wearing wigs/extensions or whatever, but I never saw the mesh. His hair looked natural. During the Royal Brunei concert, his hair was getting frizzy during the show... it looked natural. On HIStory tour, during Blood On The Dancefloor and the rock segment where he rocks out, kicks his legs in the air and all that... he's "headbanging" and his hair is flying.. most likely no mesh going on there.

Not saying he didn't have it, just that if he did, it was far less obvious than it was the last ten years or so.
