I'm thinking I might see THIS IS IT on the big screen one last time. I feel like this will be my last chance to ever see the real MJ at the theatre, so after work. . .
Right now, Man's Temptation on the unreleased masters is the best song for me. MJ is singing his little heart out. I also like how Jermaine's voice is being show cased on a few of the songs.

Just saw TII for the 4th time. (twice in IMAX which is the best experience in terms of sound).
What has been interesting to me is that in each viewing I am going with people who are non-fans but curious to see it, and they come away massively impressed and saddened in part that the vision was never realised. Now these people aren't about to go out and buy every MJ cd released, but it did give them an appreciation for him beyond what the media represented for so many years. Seriously, i've been really suprised by the reaction by most casual and non-fans who have seen the film. Almost all i've spoken too have said that the film was much better than they thought it would be, but most of all they were suprised at how professional MJ was and what a perfectionist he was. He was involved in every aspect of his show's and music in general. That film certainly shows that contrary to what many have said and continue to say, Michael was the one running the show always. The man was a master at his craft and definitely not a puppet who had little role in his career or success like many have said. Anyway, what I loved about "This Is It" besides the performances and just Michael himself, is that it really seemed like the old Michael. He looked happy to be on stage again and it was such an improvement from a few years ago during around the time of "Invincible" when MJ looked totally out of it. He was not himself then. Even comparing the concert at MSG back then to the rehearsals of "This Is It" you can see such a difference. And it was for the better. I will definitely be buying the DVD. I hope it has tons of extra footage. Can't wait! "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

I guess they just wanna make as much £££ as possible so will show it for as long as they can, tbh i never believed that they would only show it for 2 weeks if the demand was still there for it. By saying it was only going to be showing for 2 weeks it created a hype and helped with the marketing and presale tickets. [Edited 11/24/09 9:51am] With Love there is no Death

But honestly, watching the movie in a theatre, I felt like a 8 year old all over again..totally spellbound. I loved the first shot of him on the screen, walking out to WBSS. I'll never forget seeing that moment on the big screen for the first time. It makes Batman and Spider-Man and any other heroes' entrance look rather lifeless compared to seeing Mike just stand there, shades on, ready to rock. I hope the movie being out so long doesn't delay the DVD release. If so, hopefully MJ can make it rain on Sony to get it out with even MORE bonus features! I think it was all about giving fans little bonuses. For example - Heal The World is actually a demo version not the final version. The Heal The World girl (reprise) with Love Michael was perhaps the way the live show would have ended with that being projected on the screens. And the added takes from Human Nature were just a little reward for sticking the way through the credits. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

NEW YORK - "Michael Jackson's This Is It," a film about the King of Pop's final rehearsals before his death, will be released on DVD on Jan. 26, 2010.
The DVD release was announced Monday by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. "This Is It" captures Jackson's final performances as he rehearsed for his concerts in London. He died June 25, just weeks before his marathon of 50 concerts was to begin. The DVD includes two documentaries, "Staging the Return: Beyond the Show" and "Staging the Return: The Adventure Begins," which highlight Jackson as he prepared for the concerts. The film has grossed more than $70 million in the United States. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

'Michael Jackson's This Is It' DVD To Hit Shelves On January 26 Concert documentary will feature an hour of extra footage on DVD, even more on Blu-Ray. First, Michael Jackson fans couldn't wait for the "Michael Jackson's This Is It" documentary to begin its limited run in theaters around the globe. Then, even before it hit thousands of screens, they began clamoring for a DVD release date of the final artistic statement from the self-proclaimed King of Pop. That wish was granted over the Thanksgiving weekend, when Sony Pictures announced that "This Is It" will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on January 26. According to Home Media Magazine, the DVD version will include an hour of extra footage in the form of featurettes on the making of the film, costumes, dancer auditions and the performers' memories of Jackson. The Blu-Ray will contain that footage, plus an additional half hour that includes alternate versions of videos of "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller." "This Is It" was originally scheduled for a two-week limited run in theaters, with hopes of a DVD version in stores by Christmas. But due to the popularity of the movie and complaints from theater owners that the Christmas release window was too soon, the run was extended by a month and the DVD release was pushed back, according to the Los Angeles Times. The film has taken in more than $70 million at the U.S. box office since opening on October 28. In other "This Is It" news, the film did not make it onto the short list of 15 films eligible for Best Documentary Oscar nominations, because it was not released before the September 30 deadline for that category. But it is reportedly still a potential contender in other categories, including Best Picture. Source: MTV "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
