His only hit as a singer. He also did the original version of Martha & the Vandellas' "Darling I Hum Our Song". The Andantes, the Detroit Symphony and the Funk Brothers (of course) are accompanying him. A hit for Eddie in 1962.

When their singing careers initially didn't go as planned at Motown, they became full-time writers there but all of them returned to their careers when they left Motown, well I don't know about Eddie, I think he and his brother Brian worked in and out of Motown onwards until the late 1970s but we know about Lamont and Johnny, Johnny especially because "Hang On In There" was a big hit in '74 and of course Lamont, who sounds a lot like Willie Hutch, had a brilliant solo career.

And let's not forget Barrett Strong, the man responsible for Motown's breakthrough hit, "Money (That's What I Want)", and look at all the stuff he and Norman did for Marvin, the Tempts, Gladys & the Pips and the Undisputed Truth.
