Amerie: new cd

Anyone digging her new cd?
Seems they put ZERO effort in making this.
The music sounds likes presets from a Korg or Roland synth.

I'm a fan of hers. Her first album was terrific. I loved 'Touch' and 'Because I Love It.' But I haven't been impressed by what i've heard this time around. Pretty brown is nice though. I believe that Def Jam is gonna drop her pretty soon. They way that they promoted this album was awful.

Poor Amerie. I bet she has a voodoo doll of Rihanna.

First of all its live instruments on most tracks, from horns to bass to drums to guitar solos. Tracks like "higher" "dangerous" "why r U" "more than Love" and "the flowers" are light years better than anything out there in RB females clearly so youre clearly missing something. Her raw vocals show she was actually in the damn studio as opposed to her voice being layered and put through a strainer to sound perfect, got enough and had enough of that bullshit. Its actually better than "Because I love it" and Light Years ahead of Touch and One thing. Where ballads failed her on those records she actually pulls off most of them hear, my only drawback is one too many and the pretty brown eyes remake, since i never like the song that much to begin with.

Well if you liked the "Becuase i love it" record or the "touch" record its using the same instruments once again, the difference on this record is Will Buchanan, who blows Rich Harrison out the box, those who dont know, Richard Harrison produced One Thing BUT did not come up with the sound, she did.
