When you add his charted works with the JB's, his Hot 100 charters that didn't hit the R&B charts and his produced numbers with his proteges, yeah that's around that number. No, actually this doesn't include the proteges.

It says they have #3 in stock for $30 though. eta: Amazon has Vol 3 on sale for $27 right now. [Edited 11/5/09 19:13pm] Once Vol.3 is sold out, I can see this being the most in demand OOP volume yet.

I don't have anything from the singles series,,,,yet I'm intrigued. Will somebody answer me? Many of Brown's single releases were never released on album. Some of the are also slightly different edits. The singles CD set series also features some previously unreleased material.

I don't have anything from the singles series,,,,yet I'm intrigued. Will somebody answer me? Yep, a lot of his singles were never released, either on CD, or some for a very, very short time. For example, his hit America is my Home has never been released on CD until this release. Get It Together was released as a single two different times, one mix was quickly deleted and a remix version was quicklt sent out as you can tell the difference. Escape-Ism was released, but JB didn't like the guitar as he said is was to loud, he remixed it, lowered the guitar and added more bottom to the bass, for a realse soon after. Many released were wither never released or by posydums of JB. James Davis is an early 1959 instrumental release by JB. The Poets released a single in 1963 on his Try Me label, the James Brown Dancers released a single in 1967, It's a Gas. PRINCE: Always and Forever

So, has anyone heard this yet? I was a tiny bit disappointed with vol. 7 as it was light on songs I hadn't heard before but this one has tons of songs that are new to my ears.
