One Of The Most Talented & Underated Artists Is Back with a new group

I'm sure most of u like The Smashing Pumpkins, and the pionner of the group, Billy Corgan is back with a new band, called Zwan. The drumist, Jimmy Chamberlin and 1 guitarist stays. But is a huge change.

I've heard 'Honestly' on the radio a few times and I think that Zwan sounds alot like old Smashing Pumpkins pre-Adore. I'm really liking it too. headbang I wasn't too into that Adore and Machina sound.

Really?

The drumist, Jimmy Chamberlin

Is that a snotty version of a drummer?

Billy Corgan is not a underrated artist, I can't stand his voice
"Jimmy Chamberlin and 1 guitarist stays" wasn't Chamberlin the guy who was with Jonathan Melvoin when he died? I don't care, James & D'Arcy were the coolest

I didn't want to do any threadjacking, but Billy Corgan is a pretentious twit.

Jnoel made me do it.

Billy Corgan must be one of the most overrated people of the last century. Not really looking forward to more of his shit!

Though I admit he has his personality issues, I really like Billy Corgan.

I'm not an authority on Smashing Pumpkins by any means, but one of my favorite albums is Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness. Some great stuff on there.

Thanks for the heads up about Zwan.

James Iha is cool

D'Arcy would like to believe she's cool

I'm looking forward to Zwan myself. I'm hoping the guitars will once again be tuned "all the way up" to an 'E' and we can lose the nu-metal pretensions

First of all, Billy is very underrated, he writes good music combinin and reinventin genres; and i know this cuz i'v listened 2 all his music, also the critics will testment 2 this. He can play guitar, sing, whateva. If ur talkin bout world appear, then remember they are were the biggest band in there duration. Simease Dream sold near 10 mill. I don't understand y people hate him (like Sharon Osborne 'a nobody') i have seen him on interviews and he is a good down 2 earth guy. Well, his voice may be viney 2 some, but i have never experinced a voice so emotive and sensual.

1. That's all well and good.

2. Critics' opinions don't sway mine. If I agree with them it's because I agreed from the get-go, they've never changed my mind about whether I liked something or not.

3. I never said he wasn't talented.

4. If sales EVER swayed my opinion I could never be a Prince fan, a jazz fan, a Meshell Ndegéocello fan, etc. I'm not some pop fan who hops on the latest bandwagon.

some years ago I've heard an interview of Billy Corghan in which he said that he wanted his music to touch everyone like Bob Marley's one, even the interviewer, an indie-rock fan, was speechless, sorry Billy you don't play in the same category
