I hadn't thought of putting something like that somewhere other than against the wall. Putting it in the middle of the room though, is a great idea because it would make an excellent room divider. Besides just the plywood, paint the plywood with some shiny black paint and maybe get someone to paint an oriental design onto it or a design that fits your taste. Or maybe a solid full length mirror over the plywood or maybe mirror panels or mirror tiles. The decorating possibilities are endless. Andy is a four letter word.

Actually, purposely leave empty cubes between some of the vinyl cubes for decorating. Hell, I could work with that. Andy is a four letter word.

I've got most of mine in a computer too but it is a computer I have hooked to the stereo and use it for music only. I don't even have internet on it because I don't want to take any chances. I bought a laptop this year strictly for internet. I'll never part with my vinyl and CDs though because you never know what may happen. That computer can't last forever and then you've got all your music in it with no backup. . . . [Edited 11/5/09 15:06pm] Andy is a four letter word.

OK, I have a computer question now. My computer is only one and a half years old but when my computer finally does become old and I want to replace it, is there some sort of disc or device that I can quickly transfer all those songs from the old computer into the new one without having to scan all those CDs and label them into the Windows Media Player? Hey, it's a ligitimate question. Computers don't last forever and it took me over a year putting that stuff in. I even had to record tons of vinyl onto CDs first so I could get them in. Andy is a four letter word.

You need to purchase sometype of external hard drive Andy. http://www.amazon.com/s/r...efix=exter or just use a USB key drive. They are cheaap! Just stick usb key onto usb slot on computer. Then it will open a window on your computer. then just drag your music files into the window and wait for them to be copied. then remove usb key and reverse process on new computer. http://www.bestbuy.com/si...Id=8281352 [Edited 11/5/09 16:17pm] [Edited 11/5/09 16:19pm]

[Edited 11/5/09 16:17pm] Whew, that's a relief. I've got a ton of stuff in my computer also that I don't have on discs. Everytime I have company over and they have a CD that I don't already have, I say...."Give me that CD motherfucker, I need to borrow it for a minute".... Then I scan it in the computer and give it back to them. My computer is fairly new but I'm just preparing myself for the future because I can't live without music and I will NOT listen to the radio for music. I'd rather be locked up in a crazy house first. vainandy said: Thanks. What do they do? Duplicate the files or something? I don't know shit about computers other than what I do at work and also what I find out by trial and error. Yes. External Drive hooks up to via USB drive: Copy your music files from the My Music folder on your computer to the Music folder on the external hard disk drive. Click on my computer icon and on the right you should see music folder: You can either click on that music folder and copy it over to the hard drive or click on the folder or folders. (I'm not sure how you have your music folder setup) Highlight the folder right click and scroll down to Copy to Folder and a dialogue box will popup (Copy Items) scroll down until you find your external hard drive letter... (F) (G) or whatever. Then click Copy When you get your HD let me know I'll walk you through it. I use iTunes and back my stuff up on a external HD. But I'll ask some of my friends about Microsoft Media Player to make sure I haven't skipped any steps. It's really simple. P.S. 2 gig flash drive may hold up to 450 songs give or take; I'm gonna assume you have way more music than that ===== [Edited 11/5/09 16:59pm]

Thanks but hopefully I won't have to do that for a few years since my computer is fairly new. I figured there was a way to copy and transfer them. I just hope it saves all the different fields I used when I scanned them into the computer. Not only did I label them by song and artist, but I also included album, year, and genre. Windows Media Player keeps them in real good order. For instance, when I pull up "Prince", all his songs come up placed within each album and the albums come up in alphabetical order. When the song "Controversy" was placed, I entered it as funk, with "Do Me, Baby", I entered it as slow jam. That way, I can play shuffle by genre by multiple artists for hours and hours just like having my own radio station. I never know what's going to play next. I can do the same by year also, or by artist. I took a lot of time entering those different fields but I've really been enjoying it in the long run. I'd just hate to go through all that work again in the future. Andy is a four letter word.

However, I do own quite a few .. stuff that artists and labels send me. I use them in my car.
