Whoa...just got done watching her interview. I didn't think she'd be that candid at certain parts. Overall I was satisfied with her answers. I still wanted to know details of what went down in that car, but it's not my business.
Cover Girl should be pleased with this interview. They came across as a loyal but sensible sponsor. She was smart to say that if she were a corporate sponsor, she'd be concerned with the image of someone in her situation as well. That is a horrible hairstyle, but she has good skin. After Rihanna’s highly publicized tell-all interview for GMA and 20/20 (details and video), Chris Brown also wants to open up and talk about his feelings regarding the domestic abuse case on a MTV special titled “Chris Brown: The Interview” which will air on Friday (November 6). Chris tells Sway Calloway he is trying to move on but still struggles with what happened that night when a fight between the couple turned nasty and he beat up his ex-girlfriend. Chris says, “How do you, Chris, go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation … and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?” Blah blah blah! In the 30-minute special, Chris will also address the ‘Larry King Live’ interview, the public’s perception of him and his new album ‘Graffiti’ [Graffiti’s album cover]. It seems like Chris is trying too hard not to stay behind but this interview coming out exactly when Rihanna decided to open up is just bad taste. Chris, you already had your chance to speak up several times, now shut up and let the victim speak! A WAR IS BREWING!!!! These interviews and things are very suspect to me with albums dropping and everything. [Edited 11/5/09 20:56pm] How does one fall in love with someone so stupid? Yeah, I didn't think so either. She handled herself SO WELL. I was dying laughing as she watched Chris' sorry plea and said, "It seems that he's reading from a teleprompter." It's funny that Chris has done about 5 interviews and hadn't really answered the questions surrounding that night and the aftermath, and she does one interview and answers them all.

I was impressed by the way Rihanna carried herself in this interview. If I didn't notice it before, I saw a very intelligent young lady who has a full understanding of her situation and how powerful her image is to her young fans who would've thought it was "cute" to go back to their boyfriend after abuse. She loves Chris, but she did that right thing by ending it and stopping the ugly back and forth that develops in those types of relationships. When you walk away, is when the real healing is allowed. That is a gorgeous girl with a lot going for her...I'm sure Chris is kicking himself right now. I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

I agree. She came off as much more articulate and insightful than Chris did when he was on Larry King. I got the impression that she learned something from the incident. Chris didn't do very well despite having his mother and his lawyer with him on the show. I think he needs every bit of the counseling he was ordered to have. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

well, she is older, she is female, Bajans pride themselves on education and intelligence, and plus getting smacked upside the head does tend to teach you something, one would hope. I'm glad she stated they were a danger to each other, and that she didn't drop the issue when she saw him getting enraged. I feel bad for to be so young and already jaded on love. I hope one day she will find true love and she will have the wisdom to appreciate. Such a sad end to what should have been nothing but happiness for the both of them.

She didn't go out of her way to slam him (like I would have I bought the new Glamour with First Lady Obama on the cover and was surprised to see Rihanna's article in there. I thought she was on the cover? It's the "Top Women of Glamour" issue so perhaps there are many different cover girls. "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

There must be different covers because Rihanna was on the cover of the issue I bought. I was so proud of her during this interview. Quite mature for someone so young. It's nice that she used her brain and dumped Chris because I'm soo sick of women going back to their abusive other halfs. Maybe now, women in these situations will get out before it goes from beatings to something worse. In the end, this incident could have been 10 times worse than a bruised and battered face. Sadly, I don't believe that this was the first time he hit her; just the first time it went public. Very seldom does domestic violence just start out of the blue without any prior incidents. He was either verbally and emotionally abusing her if he wasn't physically abusing her waay before this beat down. Two of my aunts were murdered by their husbands and neither of them had been abused prior to their murders...one was pregnant. Both of those men died in prison a few years back, but they took away two women and a cousin that I will never get to meet. Rihanna was lucky because she got to live to tell her story and hopefully she learned something valuable from it that she will keep with her for the rest of her life. Whether it's physical, emotional, or verbal abuse, all women need to learn that real love shouldn't hurt. Prince Rogers Nelson
