Hmmm...most underrated might be stretching a bit, but their last album was easily their best. One of the best albums of 2001. | |

Underated...yes...but hardly THE MOST out there.

I agree,Jamiroquai is so underrated.Their last CD 'A Funk Odyssey' (2001) is one of the funkiest,liveliest albums I've heard in a long time.It seems like,at least in the U.S.,they're not getting the success and recognition they deserve.
By the way,I've finally picked up their 'Traveling Without Moving' CD (1996) and while it has a few cool songs,it's not nearly as strong as either 'Synchronized'(1999) or 'A Funk Odyssey'. | |

TRACKS THAT JAMIROQUAI DONE TEEF! 1. "Los Conquistadores Chocolates" - Johnny Hammond The piano riff was used extensively on Jamiroquai's "When Are You Gonna Learn" and the drumbreak was used for "Revolution".. all on the same album.. 2. "Get Down Saturday Night" - Oliver Cheatham I am sure they have blatantly nicked the backbone of this for "Little L". any more? My point is, what they R doing is nothing new and Curiosity Killed The Cat where doing the same thing YEARS B4 Jay Kay even approached Street Sounds! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

If you are curious, you might want to check out their first two CDs, Emergency On Planet Earth(1993) and Return Of The Space Cowboy(1995). I consider them great albums, and I feel that they represent the best of Jamiroquai's output. Then again, I feel that Travelling Without Moving is more solid and interesting than anything they have released since, so your mileage may vary... | |

Thanks for the recommendations.I am definitely gonna pick up those first two albums.But,I can't belive that you're not too fond of 'A Funk Odyssey'.I like it all the way through.I was listening to it yesterday,and I was trippin' off the way "Corner Of The Earth" sounds...the lush instrumention,the strings,it's all so overwhelming  | |
