Anyone listened to BEP's The END the whole way through? Man, it's tough. I have to admit, if it were just the music, I can't say it would be any worse than the average Daft Punk album.
But the lyrics/singing/rapping are the most aggressively stupid/tacky I've ever heard. They're actually exhausting to listen to.

They are one of the most talentless group of hacks to ever emerge in music. It's totally indicative of the whole "kids listen to crap because they're fed crap". BEP are a media darling in that they media will push and push them for whatever reason. They've done the same with Beyonce and her non-songwriting ass.
They're like a cheaper version of The Fugees or something. Talentless guys in the background (Wyclef, William) who strive to be equal to, or trump, the female spotlight "singer" of the group (Lauryn, Fergie) by creating their own ridiculous side projects (Carnival, Songs About Girls) as the female singer has a much bigger solo career on her own (Miseducation, The Duchess); and the guys also make a desperate attempt are super stardom by working w/ people like Michael Jackson (which both Wyclef and William did, both doing remixes, and adding their own irritating voices to an existing MJ song, and royally fucking it up forever).

BEP was awesome before Fergie was added and they went pop but I love "Meet Me Halfway". I don't know why, but I really like that song now "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

They just spent 26 consecutive weeks at number one on the Hot 100. Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever heard?!?!

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

No, not in today's market of shit eaters eating shit music. Also: Oprah is using a special "Oprahized" version of their good day or whatever song as a theme at times, namely when she had her season premiere live in Chicago this year, and BEP were on there. Oprah used that song over and over in her intro and bumpers going in and out of commercial breaks. She, and The View, have given BEP a lot of attention and time since this album came out.

I have a feeling that O used that song as a favor to Will.I.Am since they got close during the election. I'm not a fan of the BEPs, but I think Will is pretty talented. He has a knack of writing songs that will appeal to the masses, but if u listen to the work he's done with others, I think he has a decent amount of talent. I really like the song he did on Mary's Breakthrough album. I also like these songs he's done: **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Will.I.Am is a genius, incredible producer and songwriter, and his "Songs About Girls" was superior to any BEP album and it was my favorite album of 2007 alongside NIN's "Year Zero".
"Songs About Girls" deserved way more attention than the new BEP album is getting. "The END" feels a little rushed to me, although it does have some great songs like "Rock That Body" and "Meet Me Halfway". Will's album had SO MANY sick jams - "Heartbreaker", "Got It From My Mama", "Get Your Money", "The Donque Song", "Invisible" and my personal favorite, "One More Chance". The level of production and songwriting on Will's album was simply stellar and it's no surprise that both Prince and MJ have been singing Will's praises. |

Wow, so harsh and you have a lot of your facts wrong. BEP did have a couple of albums out befoeFergie joined. And they were real dope (falling up was ill). Fergie joined and they went pop. Also Will.I. Am has done a lot of production and writing on other peoples records, so I wouldn't say he is not talented (funny how you compare him to Wyclef and also say he's not talented when he was behind most of the Fugees songs). Hey, I guess everyone has opinions but it's hard to take yours seriously when you're so offbase.

I do remember loving this song that featured Macy Gray, though. I remember seeing an interview on Access Hollywood that featured the girl that was in the group before Fergie came along. She was similar to Lina in her style and approach. She said she didn't feel comfortable singing about "My Humps" when the group was supposed to be a positive group. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

She said Will presented My Humps to her and the record company told her she would have to dress sexy and she decided to leave. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
