Sounds like a fair deal to me.
We're talking hindsight here. What if Thriller wasn't this global smash? What if it was a moderately successful R&B album? What if it sold about 10 million copies worldwide to date? Maybe a few more or a few less?

Landis claimed he begged Mike to help/get more money for Vincent. $7k from 3 or 4 sentences.....what's sad about that? not to mention that 7k was a lot back then ..

Normally this gets on my nerves but I found myself watching the entire performance this way because no matter what Michael was doing or what position he was in, his form is so strong, his body so fluid that each still moment looked like it could be a photograph. Time and time again I saw just how perfected the moves and poses were. It also underscored how much I would look forward to him reminding me of his greatness. His absence was an opportunity to rediscover and to be in wonder all over again. Since seeing the movie I can't stop singing several songs and thinking of specific moments of the rehearsals. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

What I love about MJ fans is that we can be really nitpicky If something is in poor quality, we'll work on getting it in better quality or we'll try to improve on it (ala the Yokohama show, the Tokyo '87 show, and the Dallas '84 show) I've had this concert for years on VHS but it was a terrible rip and after watching it so much, I decided I would never watch the Munich '97 show ever again When it was reaired in Germany in HD, DJ Oxygene took the transfer (that was already phenomenal) and improved on it more, which you see on the clip. It's like a new experience watching it and I love the concert again When I get a DVD burner, I'm gonna put this and his version of the Yokohama '87 concert on DVD to watch on my flat screen [Edited 11/2/09 15:50pm] "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. It felt like I was watching something much more recent. If more of his stuff was in HD I'd probably watch a lot more than I have. It's really a shame that there isn't official concert footage or even a collection of live performances in HD. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

How is there high def HIStory tour footage on YouTube yet all the bootleg copies for sale on DVD are such shitty quality? Where am I not shopping for my unofficial bootleg DVDs that I should be? LOL Someone orgnote me about this ASAP lol
Another thing, has anyone seen the introduction to the HIStory tour lately? It reminded me a lot of something that would have fit right in on THIS IS IT with the 3d-like effects and the whole space theme. Michael was totally ahead of his time on so many levels. Damn, I miss him more, the more I think about his genius as a performer and BEYOND. Watch here: http://www.youtube.com/wa...L&index=23 Skip to about 24 seconds in. The problem is unless someone has access to the masters or it's aired in HD somewhere, there is no HD version. Most of the DVD's I would guess are TV airings or screeners of some sort. I wish VH1 would air the 30th Anniversary show again. They used to show the full show all the time, but I haven't seen it on TV in a few years now.
