The New Monkees album from 1987 isn't as bad as you may think if you like mid 80's poppy AOR. A couple of OK tracks actually. But then I heard a track off the CD called "boy inside a man" and thought "Wow, this is genuinely quite good!".

Not surprisenly I guess, I later found out the track was a cover by someone more credible. Still, its a good version though.

K I'll bite, was The New Monkees, some new rehash of the Monkee's from the 60's and if so why? Cause didn't the original Monkee's release an album and go on tour in the mid to late 80's?
