Well, I think you're crazy for saying it's iconic lol

and I'm not insulting their talent. All I'm saying is that people give them too much credit and don't give Janet any. Take away all the stuff J&L and Tina has done with Janet and they're left with barely anything.

The truth is that Jam & Lewis would be nothing without Prince, so I'm going to thank Prince for putting Jam & Lewis out there so that Janet could have good producers on her earlier albums. It'll be nice to see Janet, Jam, and Lewis doing new material together on the new LP, because they all really compliment each other quite nicely. nod

Yea, we all know that lol

I think Jam & Lewis turned to a different direction with their production. They seem to have stuck with bland R&B now.

U must not listen to Urban AC radio. If u did, u would hear Jam and Lewis' work constantly. Cherrelle, Alexander O'neal, SOS Band, Human League, Usher, Mariah, Yolanda Adams, George Michael, Mary J. Blige, and the list goes on and on. All of these people have Jam and Lewis to thank for writing them.

Sure, Janet may be the most successful that they have worked with, but to say Usher, Mariah, Mary, etc. are lower level artists is an insult to their writing and production abilities.

You know what I'm over it now. You get my point yet think I'm trying to insult Jam & Lewis for some reason. Which I'm not. All I said was they were most successful and changed music with Janet. What they did with Janet >>>>

I love her so much. I think she's higher on my list than Prince of people I enjoy. I just wanna hang with her, talk to her, the usual. Not marry her, or be her forever man (although I would let her tie me up and spank the fuckery out of me, cuz you know she's freaky like that).

Considering Janet said she was working with Jimmy and Terry, why should we just assume that it will be an all Rodney Jerkins album. Has he ever done an entire album? I think it's quite a leap. It might be interesting but for the most part, I would rather she kept her options wide open and worked with Jimmy and Terry as well as some pop producers. Jerkins is as crunk as she should get. The last few albums suffered from too much JD influence while DJ was nearly a great pop album....but too much JD influence stopped that!

This is before Janet.
S.O.S band,Alexander O'Neal,Cherrelle,Change,Klymaxx,Reel to Reel
and Cheryl Lynn's Encore. These were artists that Jam & Lewis
produced before Herb Alpert even pared them to work with Janet.
All these artists with the exception of Reel to Reel had successful
hits.
