Man, you won't regret seeing Stevie live. It's a spiritual experience, seriously. The man is a genius.

Yeah, I figured that Cher is totally a Vegas style production which is cool. That's what she does. With Stevie it's really about the musical performance. So they're totally night and day. I was just worried that Stevie might be a lil . . . boring. Na, while stevie isn't going to put on the type of show cher will. He'll keep it going by doing funky jams. he also will do a lot of fan interaction. he'll respond to people who yell things out. he makes a lot jokes (he's funny!) he'll bring fans up on stage and have fun with them. that type of thing I'll put this why. I assume your a big Prince fan. The music aside what type of show would you rather see.... The One Night Alone tour (stevie) or the Lovesexy tour (cher)

Dunno if it was because it was a hometown show, but he played for like 3+ hours and played everything you'd ever want to hear. Great, great show. At the Taste, I was a little underwhelmed. But it was my second time in less than a year and the circumstances were very different. Definitely worth seeing, but I think it has a lot to do with the setting and the setlist.
Saw Cher in 2000, I think. When she was riding high from Believe. Was a pretty good show. From what I understand, the never-ending Farewell Tour was pretty much the same show. Don't know if she's changed it up for her Vegas stint, but it was great fun when I saw her. (But I'm totally queer for Cher). okay, so we saw the same show...you didn't notice she never moved from center stage? Oh come on. That's a little unfair, don't you think? I mean, she did have all those costume changes

I saw Stevie last year and it was amazing I love the musicianship. Me and my dad is big Stevie fans though, but you're in for a treat of real music. And just on a personal note Stevie & his band are some of the nicest people you can ever meet.

This is from the dvd from around the time i went...now this is minus the moment of being there and the atmosphere of the crowd. As you know Stevie has a lot of songs.

I ripped the audio of Live At Last. It had lossless audio so it's just like having a live CD set.
Man, what an incredible show. Together with Natural Wonder, that's two solid live albums. Hearing the orchestra on Rocket Love from Natural Wonder is incredible. And the two horn guys on Live At Last are great... that sax solo on As If You Read My Mind is groovy.

So, yes, maybe next year. This is going to be my first year to go. I'm really excited. Any idea when tickets go on sale? I can go from where I live to LA, with hotel, for only about $350 at most. I can afford to go to this provided I can get a ticket to the concert. How hard are they to get?

I'll let you know when the tickets go on sale. I don't think they are promoting it now. Usually they don't really start promoting it until close to Thanksgiving. Also, keep an eye on his radio station's website, www.kjlhradio.com . They usually have the links listed there. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

LV was off the damn chain. Stevie Wonder was awesomely brilliant. Great show glad I went to see him. I sat a few rows behind Babyface and a few seats over from Mike Tyson. Lawd, I laughed OUT LOUD when I saw him thinking about how we cut up on the Org behind that fool. He really loves his high water khakis and did look like a pile of fajita meat on a George Foreman grill in person.
I also went to the Phantom of the Opera on Friday and saw Purple Reign instead of Cher on Sunday. I love them dudes and I knew I'd get to sing and dance a lot more at their show than hers. Where else you gonna hear a band play Head, Irrisistible Bitch, Erotic City plus a bunch of Time songs in 2009???.

I have not seen a concert in so long
let's see....I saw Prince Musicology (fuck yeah!). I saw Usher Confessions. I saw Jay Z/R Kelly Best Of Both Worlds (pre best with both and post not so best with just jay Z, LOL), Kanye West w/ Keyshia Cole and Fantasia. When I was in college, had to go, I remember seeing TLC, Tupac, Tony Toni Tone, Mint Condition, Regina Belle. I wanted to go see Janet but she cancelled Dang I am slacking in my concertness going skills....

I see everyone I can locally and will travel to see folks I can't see here. Stevie was on my bucket list so I had to go. I saw Raphael Saadiq last Tuesday and although it was a really good show I was disappointed he didn't do a single Tony, Toni, Tone song. I mean, I know you've moved on but C'mon ON!
