Damn Peter Frampton used to talk box. eek

Junie Morrison, Roger Troutman, Teddy Riley, and everybody else used it mainly thru their synthesizers where Peter Frampton was one of the few who played it thru his guitar....

Damn this was so sad!!! bawl Seems no one had no idea what would had been going on between Larry and Roger before the tragedy. Funny how the family members describe Larry as acting "strangely" the night before he shot Roger, yet no one admitted that he was actually depressed. Judging from how they said he was acting, seems like he was severly depressed and needed help...yet no one noticed? hmmm

The black community as a whole does not like to deal with mental illness-look at Donny Hathaway and Phyllis Hyman

Me neither, but I can definitely see how he ended up with 12 kids. The man wasn't bad looking at all, he was a musician and he looks like he was a lot of fun. As long as he took care of all 12, then there's nothing wrong with that.

I thought this Unsung was the best to date too script. One of the things I picked up when they spoke of the pressure Larry was under with keeping the family books....the list of obligation which included childsupport. If you've really haven't plain to have a lot of children, those precious bundle of joy can drain your coffers financially. Roger words of wisdom about dope should have included the cost of unplanned pregnancy.

Ditto here. Long time fan here.....SO thankful I got to see em live 3 times.

GREAT video clips in this one (a few I had never seen B4)....and many details I didn't know. Cool how the boys drove around Dayton telling the story...smiled BIG at that.

Excellent show.

I wasn't speaking of Larry per say, I didn't make myself clear. Since Larry was in control of the coffer he was also the one who wrote the checks to cover any of those brothers child support.... that had to have been a tidy sum going out the door.

Like script pointed out, the black community never really touches on depression or deals with anyone with manic behavior. It affected the behaviors of Florence Ballard, Phyllis Hyman, Donny Hathaway and Larry Troutman.

Yes, it was appears all of them were good bunch of guys. I can't imagine the mindset or the chain events that unfolded to make Larry think his actions should be an option. What, how and why we shall never know. That family had serious work ethic, building houses by day creating music in the evening & night. Wow!

Yeah I heard parts of their story about how they build up their business and how they try to help those in need. That's what you call a musical family. It's just too bad that someone's mental disturbance nearly destroyed it and the lives affected by the tragedies of both men. God is taking care of Roger & Larry, I know He is.
