Ironically i've been in a Klymaxx mood today so i dug out some of the old stuff and i actually stumbled across Bernadette's solo album. Hadn't pulled it out in damn near 16 years. I actually got a promo back then from a friend who used to work for MCA. I liked I Look Good and Straight Jacket Love Affair but the album itself was a hot mess. Nah, I love Movie Produce Her, Nothin' You Can Do, Drama According To Bernadette Cooper... andThe Agency Sent Me. That is a really moving song with some good thoughtful lyrics. The sound is dated but the song were done well in my opinion. It was more anjoyable than most Klymaxx albums as a whole. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

since when? Solar was never apart of mca. Both SOLAR and Constellation were owned by Dick Griffey, but distributed by completely different major labels (at the time). While it's not a subsidiary per se, being owned/run by the same person certainly makes it seem like a subsidiary (considering the success and size of SOLAR at the time). Both Carrie Lucas (Griffey's wife) and Klymaxx were moved from SOLAR to Constellation by Griffey. Griffey had SOLAR on RCA and Constellation on Elektra/Asylum initially, but moved SOLAR to Elektra/Asylum in 81. Constellation was moved to MCA in 84 (when Lucas and Klymaxx were shifted over). Hope this clears up things a bit.

How many albums ( their name?) did Madame X putout Soul'? I vaguely remember them but.... Sadly, they only released one album....a self-titled debut album in 1987. It's one of the most impressive late-80s R&B albums. The music is very edgy, funky and bold throughout. Not your typical late-80s R&B album.
