your ignorant because you seem to think that Prince is the only artist that was ever influenced by those that came before him.

when and where did I say that Prince is the *only* artist that was influenced by artists that came before him? confuse Don't you dare put words in my mouth.

Everybody took from artists who came before them.

No shit,Sherlock rolleyes Now see if you can tell me something that I don't know.

Very little in music is all original but when you are so busy pulling down Prince on any discussion about other groups, artist or bands I guess you can’t see that. Which in turn make you one ignorant individual.

How am I "pulling down Prince" by simply suggesting that he may have gotten a few ideas from a pioneer funk artist like Betty Davis? I'm just stating what is already very obvious.

I will not suggest you get help for your malfunctions because I think your a lost cause eek

I'm done arguing with you.You can now continue drinking your purple Kool-Aid.Would you like some ice with it?

“she's wearing lingerie on the album cover.
the album is titled 'Nasty Gal'

now we know where Prince got the Vanity 6 idea from, lol.”

Did you not make this statement as your first post on this topic. In addition, I was responding to Chic35 who claimed that P stole everything from other artist and then you jumped on me with your bullshit. Learn to fucking read or stop bothering to read anything that I type so you can stop making a ass out of yourself.

After witnessing more of her material i say: Damn, this girl is REALLY good!

She turns Janet Jackson into wee kiddie-pop (nothing new there) and Beyonce into prefab producers material (nothing new there too).

Its a huge shame plastic nobodies like Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Beyonce get far more attention on this board, then ladies like Betty Davis.

I've always favored her first album and this song in particular...

...Game Is My Middle Name

The band members on that album probably had a lot to do with it.

Larry Graham - bass
Doug Rauch - bass
Greg Errico - drums
Pointer Sisters - vocals
Sylvester - vocals
Neal Schon - guitar
Doug Rodgrigues - guitar
Merl Saunders - keys
Hershall Kennedy - keys
