These are my all-time favorite songs from Tupac

When that Tupac/Biggie mess was going down, I had to side with Pac and I'm not from either east coast or west coast. I sided with Tupac because he was able to make an intellectual message without having to talk about selling drugs, pimpin' females, and hustlin'...sure he did his fair share of wrong, but as the saying goes, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and my ass damn sure ain't innocent so I can't tear this man down for his mistakes. Tupac was able to step outside of himself and tell other people's stories with eloquence and real heart and I respect that to the fullest from any hip-hop/rap artist. I wish he had taken that higher path because he definitely had the ability to be better than what he was. RIP Pac. pray

if he was alive now, 2pac would probably be entering some sort of political arena and doing his work there, rather than rap.

he was far too intelligent for this bitches and hoes thing, but unfortunately, his rage and anger got the better of him, and he was murdered.

what a shame.

Notorious PIG and many of the others were just rappers, 2pac was a general!

what a shame.

on each album, he managed to have some incredible songs with great messages.
its just a shame the other songs have overshadowed them for so long.

but when it comes down to it, Dear Mama and Keep Ya Head Up are the best.

The ORIGINALS not that shit his Mother puts out. Of those, 'Fame' is highly impressive amongst others.

Next year, the company who has purchased Deathrow records has been allowed to release one 13 track album of original recordings, some never before heard. That, I think will be the biggest 2PAC event since he passed.

I've heard something about this recently, apparently they have some Snoop Dogg tracks as well that they are planning on releasing.

I'm a little concerned about the Tupac tracks though. The reason being for me personally is, I've always felt that the light that shined in Tupac was seriously darkened when he went to DeathRow Records.

On one hand, I can only imagine what we'll be hearing may be dark, tortured and a glorification of what DeathRow Records stood for.

On the other hand, I can only hope and pray that what was recorded wasn't dark enough for Suge Knight because it was the real Tupac shining through, the only way of putting out that kind of light, is to extinguish it all together and that being the reason they weren't released by DeathRow Records, in the first place!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I dunno, if 2Pacalypse Now had been his final album(which'd be ridiculous considering how dated it now sounds) I could perhaps see it, he was never more political, but the "glamourized gangsta" of All Eyez On Me followed by Killumiati where he reached a crescendo of venom and anger.....not so sure.

I think his contradictions as a person helped make his music what it was.

If anything, I'm sure he'd of done more acting, he outshone Tim Roth in Gridlock'd. Hopefully he wouldn't of ended up in some dodgy cop/detective series like Ice-T or LLCoolJ though.

I seriously doubt there is much we haven't heard. The Makaveli bootlegs have been out for years! But I agree with you in that I prefer the original bootleg versions over the over-produced newer versions with exception of a few. Hopefully we will get some of the bootleg versions on this new cd. To me it's the way 'Pac originally intended it to sound.
