Better R&B Group: 112 or Jagged Edge? Both have had very solid careers through the late 90s into the 00s. Which group do you think is better? Please go below to vote. My vote actually goes to Jagged Edge, but it's a very close call.

I can't deal with either too much but I'll say 112...

What? 112? They were kinda hot for a minute, somewhere between 96 and 99. Their first two albums weren´t bad. The downfall of RnB is what you hear today, all the autotune, dark beats, repetitive melodies, negative lyrics etc. At least 112 could sing decently. You are both very harsh critics. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Sorry, I'm just being honest Sorry if I hit a sore spot with some people. I'm actually a younger dude, so when I was growing up, they were prominent in R&B. It wasn't until I discovered music from years before that I realized there is A LOT better out there. That being said, I still think both groups are good and are talented. www.youknowigotsoul.com for the latest in r&b and hip hop.

112 is better, but they were strictly singles artists, I used to have their first album and it was crap. Their best songs are Only You and Dance With Me.

Jagged Edge by default.
At least they have a few songs i can tolerate. 112 was just plain damn annoying. If you listened to how they butchered All Cried Out with Allure you'd wanna go out and kill somebody. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Jagged Edge though some of their songs were ghetto-ish, lol

I like more songs by 112. But even in the late 90s I saw them like a poor man's Jodeci.

Technically both 112 and JE were poor men's Jodeci.

Well Puffy had a hand in Jodeci, and then signed 112 and probably tried to turn them into the next Jodeci. www.youknowigotsoul.com for the latest in r&b and hip hop.

Wow, I can't believe you think "Dance With Me" is a good song but "Cupid" is crap. I actually really enjoyed their first album, it is full of pretty good ballads. www.youknowigotsoul.com for the latest in r&b and hip hop.

112 wins because they all sing. In J.E, only the twins (Brian & Brandon) sing. I've heard the other member sing an ad-lib, and I have yet to hear the 4th member sing. Plus, all of J.E songs sounds the same

I never said I didn't like Cupid, which was also a single. Cupid is nice but now it reminds me of Tender Love, which is far more superior.

Actually, Kyle and Wingo do sing on a couple of the songs, probably not any of the major hits though. As for 112, I don't remember Mike ever singing on any hits either. If I'm not mistaken, isn't the leading singing split between Slim and Darron? I sometimes get Q and Darron confused though. www.youknowigotsoul.com for the latest in r&b and hip hop.

Technically both 112 and JE were poor men's Jodeci. Dru Hill was the next Jodeci and shot on both 112 and Jagged Edge. With that said, Jagged Edge. Cupid is my shit though, love that song. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Cupid is my shit though, love that song. Good point, although it's really hard to argue that Dru Hill is better than these groups when they've only had 3 albums, and they faded pretty quickly. Their debut album is amazing though. www.youknowigotsoul.com for the latest in r&b and hip hop.

It's a tie for me. I like them both, I can't choose.
Well, 112 has an edge over Jagged for having jams like this: I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

112 by a long shot. I loved their first album and I like a few of the singles after it ("Love Me," "Anywhere," "It's Over Now," "Peaches and Cream").
Still, my favorite 112 songs weren't singles. "This Is Your Day" from the debut is my favorite track by them and this cover dedicated to the late Biggie Smalls is second: "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
