Mary Davis

In my opinion, the original lead singer of the S.O.S. Band has the sexiest voice in R&B, but where is she today? Anyone know? I would LOVE to see her get signed to a major label and kick it (solo or WITH the band) with Jam & Lewis again.

She has been touring with the S.O.S band since 1999
as a part of the S.O.S band and the supergroup
United We Funk All Stars.

She should have had a bigger solo career. I think the record company didn't properly promote her at all.

Thanks, guyz! I had no idea that she was still touring with them, so that's GREAT NEWS! I've always been in love with that smooth, rich, creamy voice. She should DEFINITELY have been bigger as far as her career went and you're right, the freakin' record company didn't properly promote her. She WAS the lead voice of the S.O.S. Band and everyone knew that voice. It's a shame really. I wish Jam & Lewis would rescue them and get them back in the studio where they belong; making CD's (again.) Peace 'n love.

Jam and Lewis are pretty much through from what I've read.

They are currently working on Janet Jackson's cd slated
to be released the first quarter of 2010.

It's mostly Jimmy from what I've read. It's been rumored for years that they haven't been working together. Besides, Mary couldn't afford Jam and Lewis (even with them not having a major hit in years).

I think they did Ruben Studdard's new album and the songs I've heard are not that great.
