I think you guys are way too dramatic. If you knew nothing about her doing crack you would never think she was drugged up on X-factor

Hmmm.. not sure about that. But if not, I'd definitely have thought she was pissed out of her head!

ohhhh she recovered that quick in the begining didn't she? lol the dancer walking behind her at 1:50 betta work!!!

but seriously if her tour looks like that performance wise I'd go, should be fun even if she's not sounding the best. I hope she's enjoying herself.

Reading some of the comments online about this performance, I expected a disaster and it didn´t seem that bad. BTW isn´t she pregnant? She looks like it.

I really hate to say it....but she isn't as good as she once were, for obvious reasons! damn u bobby eek her voice just isn't the same, how ever as much as i listen again & just hope it is.Mmmm...defo seemed like she was on drugs (prescription or not)/ drink, during interview...shame!!!

I don't understand why people want to blame Bobby for all her problems she had.

She mentioned on Oprah that she's was doing drugs Pre-Bodyguard era, and right after her daughter was born eek If that isn't irresponsible, then I don't know what else is.

She made the decision to take drugs and screw up her life, and she could have divorced Bobby a long time ago if she wanted to. Let's not forget she's six year older than him.

Yep. If anything, she ruined his career. Her mere presence just drained every ounce of rhythm and funk out of him. But then again, she did that to the R&B world years before he met her so he should have known to stay away from her because her rhythmless virus was contageous. evillol

I see no signs of anyone high.

Again, people just always want drama in this world.

An ex-addict still on drugs is just a much more fun notion then an ex-addict being an ex-addict. Pathetic.

His career went completely out the window right after he married her.

Whitney was the star and the focus of attention, while people didn't give a shit about him anymore.

People thought Whitney became screwed b/c of his influence, but it could very well be that Whitney Houston was already heading for a train wreck because of the pressure to live up to everyone's expectations and her troubled marriage (b/c of his own personal issues and problems) didn't help her situation at all. Its bound to happen to people who achieve such high levels of stardom. Look at MJ for example. Even Mariah had a breakdown because of all the pressure- though she recovered.

And Clive Davis also was a pro at keep her image strong in the media and fooling the public in the early years, and after it became obvious in the media that she was into drugs , then it all went downhill.

That's because all three of them were pop stars. If they didn't give a damn about crossing over and just made some hard ass funk, they wouldn't have those worries and pressure. lol

Just like to say, nothing I've said on here is 'pathetic' or 'bitchy' biggrin I watched the whole programme from beginning to end, the performance wasn't TOO bad, but you can't see the end of the interview in that clip, and believe me she wasn't 'all there', it was obvious for all to see. I've already said I think it's sad, she seemed very lucid in the 'mentoring' part, and in the Oprah interview, but that wasn't the case during the interview at the end of that performance... whether some people want to believe it or not. Just my opinion though of course!

An in my personal opinion that was an average fucking song that got upstaged by that pretty stage
[Edited 10/19/09 5:17am]

Even that song is elementary for Whitney's voice.
That is a song that LaToya Jackson could sing and
make it sound decent! Look who wrote it Alicia Keys and
her lover Swiss Beats, intermediate minds think alike!

I can't be the only one that thought she looked 'spaced out' at the very least during the performance!

I agree to a certain extent, something was up with Whitney. IIRC, didn't her dress break whilst she was singing?, she could have been stressed out about that.

Yes, it wouldn't have helped. Wardrobe malfunctions are very stressful! I know because I had a few of them when I used to be a dancer!! confused boxed shhh

I just switched on the TV last Sunday and caught the very end of her performance and the interview afterwards. It was a car crash. She seemed completely out of it. Given the tabloid's love of tearing people down I'm surprised they didn't lay into her the next day. I guess she's too old now for them to be interested. Cheryl Cole is much more relevant to them so it was maybe inevitable they'd focus on her instead. It proved to be a good thing for Whitney as they would have torn her apart otherwise. She seemed so wasted.

The fiction being pedalled by the hype machine is that Whitney has had some tough times, but has come out the other side stronger and wiser. That interview showed us all what a lie this is.

I watched it and was just hoping she wouldn't mess up.

Performance wise: She looked good, sang live and sounded much better than on Good Morning America. Plus she was genuinely enjoying herself.

On the interview: I think she was just a tired from the performance not 'drowsy'.

People need to remember she is a recovering/ex addict re-adjusting to being a performer.

Oh PLEASE... lol I really don't want to fall out with anyone, but that is what you call being in denial!! She was out of her face, she could hardly string a sentence together, that was nothing to do with being tired from the performance, that's a completely different kind of 'tired'... she was on something, I've already said I think it's sad, genuinely. I remember Whitney at the beginning and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, it makes me sad to see what's happened to her. But maybe it's just a slip up.. and she'll get it together again, I hope so for her.

nod She was gorgeous. But I don't think she ever had the inner beauty to match. God should have found a nicer person to give that face to.
