From what I've always read, only the music for La Isla Bonita was ever offered to MJ; Maddy wrote the lyrics to it herself. I think this is in the Billboard Book of #1 hits under Who's That Girl.

ok im just as much of a madge worshipper as everyone else, but, damn, i just love how she always tells bold face LIES in interviews! she has been doing kabballah since the 90s, yet she claims in this interview that she is such a better person who doesn't talk shit about others. dude, anyone remember the nbc special for American life where she told her band on NATIONAL primetime TV "you guys suck." and the whole oh "Vogue" was envisioned for breathless mahoney - it started out as an idea for the B SIDE for "Keep it Together," the SINGLE. and then the whole 'i might have thrown myself off a building.' i don't know after reading the full interview i felt that vadge is taking the funny pills or smoking some funny shit, honestly.

If you ask her about "I'll Remember", "This Used To Be...", "Causin'", she'll totally draw a blank! She doesn't remember lyrics to some of her biggest hits during that stupid request portion of her show (and something tells me if everyone was shouting "WHO'S THAT GIRL!" in unsion, she would just, "Lucky Star it is!").

I just watched the "Vogue" video last night and while I found it hard to link the song to the album, when you see that video which looks very old Hollywood, it links together pretty well.
