He says it's "a bunch of nothing." It was just a jam, and he doesn't think it's a particulary good beat. He doesn't want to be defined by it. And he only played it once since he recorded it.

Actually, Clyde's pretty upfront about his work. Money doesn't play a role in his rating of songs ... or he'd say that his entire legacy was shit. lol

Nah, I get what you mean. I've listened to his other beats, don't get me wrong. But dissing "The Funky Drummer" is like dissing the "Mona Lisa" if you're Leonardo da Vinci, lol JMHO. biggrin

.....and they named it "HIP-HOP"!!!!!
