Great song that was co-written by Chaka. Unfortunately, this did not sit well with the label, so her name was removed. The same thing happened to her with, "Higher Love" and "Don't look any further". Damn shame. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Damn shame. Wow, I didn't know THAT... I love the song, it's a total classic, and it was really kind of 'revolutionary' at the time (or something like that)

I don't know if it was originally co-written by Chaka but it was originally recorded as a duet with Chaka but was never released in that form. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

This song wasn't co-written by Chaka. It was meant to be a duet, but Warners wouldn't consent to her vocals being used for some reason.

Yes it was. Robert mentioned this, in an interview when the album came out. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Because they felt it would interfere with the promotion of her "Destiny" CD, which they failed to properly promote. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Because they felt it would interfere with the promotion of her "Destiny" CD, which they failed to properly promote. Because it was garbage(minus Tight Fit & So Close). She already moved on to the next stage after "I Feel For You", but dumb ass WB felt the need to recapture that,,,,,and true to form, they failed. Aside from Prince(who was influential enough not to be missed with at the time), they had absloutly NO vision when it comes to black artists,,,,Chaka was among the ones who got the raw deal in that shithole company.

what is? Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love. Phil Collins gets slaughtered routinely(not on here I might add), so I see a thread like this and felt the need to speak out.

Actually, "Destiny" is one of my favorite albums. I think Warner Brothers was trying to turn her into their Tina Turner with the Rock n'Soul thing. However, they decided not to push it outside of black radio, which was a huge mistake because it wasn't an R&B record, so it got lost. "So Close" could have exposed her to a massive audience but the folks at Warners decided, for whatever reasons, she wasn't worth it. She's said over the years that starting with this album, the company began to turn it's back on her. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Well, all I know is C.K. was sure as hell an act of redemption from her part because she really wore her heart on her sleeve in that project(as if she didn't ever ). Aside from the Prince' sloppy seconds,,,,that album is special to my heart.
