Part of the reason was because she wasn't what they used to refer as "video-friendly".  I've always thought that may have played a part in her lack of success. But really Cheryl had been on the scene way before video, and though people speak of MTV or BET ( which she would have been shown on just because...  ) The whole video deal wasn't an overnight sucess (steady I guess) and still not everyone had cabel. So I don't know. | |
