Superfly soundtrack

Been listening to Curtis Mayfield's 1972 Superfly album a lot lately. Was wondering what other folks thought about this record. Thirty-seven years later, is it still hot?

One of the best soundtracks by anyone, in my opinion. Not only is the music brilliant but Curtis's lyrics, as always, are on point. They were social commentary based and anti- drug messaged. Although the film was about a dope dealer, Curtis sung about the downfall of the very essence of the character. I have referenced this film and my main man Priest, several times on this site. It's one of my all time fave movies right along with one of my all time fave artists, Mr. Mayfield. Brilliant album.
