Be prepared for the Station to Station special edition 4cd set somewhere early next year - as you may have already read on the internet. One disc with the original album, one 5.1 and two discs including the Uniondale 1976 live concert. Considering Station to Station may be my fave DB album, this news excites me. For the record I also love DB, have all his albums as well. Funny thing is, I came to know his music through Black Tie White Noise,Outside and Earthling. I knew of all his older stuff but never really got into it fully. But after getting said albums I redisovered his entire catalog and now I am a huge fan. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

This is his longest gap between albums. I am also very concerned about him... hope he's OK. * * *

This is his longest gap between albums. I am also very concerned about him... hope he's OK. Here is a recent pic of him (2008 or 2009) and his son , Zowie (of Kooks fame). "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

you really only need to ask if anyone else is a fan of Bowie so that in case they aren't, you know not to pay them any attention.

The Best of 1969/1974 and 1974/1979 were, but Hours is where I jumped on the bandwagon. I think within about 3 weeks, I had all the remasters that were released around that time.

To me, the 70s Bowie was what Prince was for the 80s: innovative, influential, one step ahead of all other artists. Bot are still great, talented, gifted musicians, even though Bowie "retired" after his heart problems in 2004. My aunt was on Bowie's gig in Prague (23.6.2004). During the song-pauses he went often in backstage because of pain in his shoulder and after 50 minutes the gig was over - doctors find out he had blocked artery..he almost died in Prague I hope he will record one more killer album, Heathen and Reality are amazing.

I've read in one interview with one Czech journalist that David Bowie never gave him "fuckin'autograph" - until when David almost died in Prague. David just looked at him and said "oh, you again..Ok, I'll give you my autograph"

Honky Dory And Station to Station are my albums. My alltime favourite is Life On Mars? and Absolute Beginners..I love those songs. And Space Oddity is probably the saddest song ever.. "Here am I floating round my tin can..far above the Moon. Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing I can do.."

I just hope the Nassau Coliseum concert will be the same "aggresive" mix as the 2 bonus tracks from the Station to Station 1990 edition done by Ryko/EMI. We still have to keep out bootleg, because it seems the drum solo (in Panic in Detroit) will be edited.
