Eddie "Corn" Kendrick - "Intimate Friends" (1977)

If you're a stoner, smoke to this, if you're a stepper, step to this, if you're a groover, groove to this.

Straight from the MOTOWN archives. fro

Not just some "one", lol:

"For Old Time's Sake" - Sweet Sable
"Time to Move On" - Sparkle
"Penny for My Thoughts" - Common (Sense)
"Another Summer" - 213 (Snoop/Nate/Warren G)
"Unbreakable" (Alicia Keys)

...and I'm sure there's more.

Nice. Timmy you always come through with
that butta Motown soul.
Janet's twenty fourplay from her Design of a Decade
compilation sounds amazingly similar to this one.

I think you mean Mr. Kendricks lol

I would suggest going for The Motown Solo Albums: Vol 1 & 2 while they're still floating around...they cost a pretty penny but if you can afford it then go for it because it's Great Soul music cool

He loved him some cornbread even though he admitted he was skinny as hell (he said in one of his songs that he was only 145 lbs). lol

The Thin Man Motown albums Vol 1 & 2 are definitely worth checking out. I think some of his later work for Arista is on CD too. One of my favorite Eddie albums is "Goin' Up In Smoke", which IIRC, was produced by Norman Harris.

Norman Harris did a solo album too but I think it's mostly or all instrumentals.

I saw on Amazon there's an album of Temps covers sung by Eddie & Dennis Edwards, anyone know what year that album was originally recorded and for what label. I don't think it was for the UK Motorcity label either which some former Motown artists recorded for.
