I wish I could play this while at work. lol
I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

Not bad. Reminscent of Jusitn's "Until The End of Time" which is of course reminscent of Prince. Maybe it's the linn sound.

Pretty generic but im glad it ain't another terrible trend following track. A step in the right direction for someone whom i don't want to call a missed opportunity. He has one of the finest voices in RnB, can play some instruments, likes to experiment, was once a modern RnB king.

If only he was on the right platform.

Yeah, that's what makes me think of P. I'm glad he didn't stick to short notes and a melody line like The Beautiful Ones like Justin did.

It doesn't sound like Prince type of song at all. But I like the song a lot. He finally got the memo lol You can tell he created this to crossover to pop radio. I think he's changing the style of the whole album because the date keeps getting pushed back.

This is really nice. I see this appealing to his older and younger fanbase.

People equate the Linn drum sound to Prince. The chord progressions, vocals and bass don't sound anything like Prince at all (which is unusual because R. Kelly is notorious for biting styles). If you took the Linn drum out of the song and the choppy piano chords, no one would say this sounds like Prince.

You have a good point. Other songs use the Linn machine, but when they rip a beat that is someone else's it is automatically associated with the originator.

I don't hear how Prince-esque this is confuse besides the piano chords in the beginning, that's reminiscent to The Beautiful Ones.(Just hitting the same keys over and over) it has been done before. Prince wasn't the first lol

Anyways, the song is really nice. He's going back to what made him so successful. I love the combination of black soul and modern R&B. It'll do very well on old school R&B stations.

Listen to this guy's track called "Whateva"
That's a little more blatantly Prince-like.

I don't know what inspired him to do these type of lyrics, when we all know he likes little girls that are just barely hitting puberty.

I wonder is he getting excited about going after the young church girls now?

No I was very serious about that! neutral That was not a joke. The lyrics in that song don't fit R. Kelly at all. I don't know what inspired him to sing about those particular lyrics, when he's always singing about SEX... confused Not to mention he just got busted for having a 17 year old girlfriend at his house while he was recently out on tour.
